Job Description
The Market Clinical Manager (MCM) is a Nurse Leadership position within our individual markets that is dedicated to supporting clinical operations within our primary care centers. The primary goals for this position will include ensuring the highest levels of quality and safety while fostering a culture of responsibility and accountability among all of our care team members. The person in this position will work closely with the Market Medical Director to provide clinical leadership and oversight to the clinical support staff in our centers. This support staff may include medical assistants, licensed practical nurses, registered nurses, case managers, social workers, and others.
The MCM identifies appropriate resources to educate patients, their families and staff members on clinical conditions and processes. The MCM will also be instrumental in implementing company-wide policies and procedures focusing on staff education, training, clinical quality, and patient safety in their individual markets. The MCM ensures clinical quality and patient safety through training and education of the care promoter team members and administrative staff and works closely with the Market Operations Director and Center Managers to ensure day to day clinical efficiencies in the market. The position will prepare the market for internal and external quality audits and respond to the results of these audits, with keen attention to any deficiencies that are identified.


  • Ensures that clinical processes, policies and procedures are adhered to in the market.
  • Interfaces regularly with providers, managers and staff to facilitate communication and quality and performance improvement activities.
  • Provides support to clinicians and assists in clinical problem solving.
  • In conjunction with the MMD and MOD, evaluates and addresses issues pertaining to quality of care, patient safety and patient satisfaction.
  • Applies evidence-based healthcare practices and nursing standards.
  • Assists with patient care, diagnostic and treatment procedures as needed.
  • Evaluates and monitors care promoter team member clinical performance and competencies.
  • Addresses/resolves customer-service issues as they relate to clinical protocols.
  • Prepares the market for internal and external audits, and help lead the markets response to any audit findings.
  • Works with care promoter teams and administrative staff to ensure proper patient flow.
  • Assists in screening of walk-ins and patient phone calls.
  • Assists in ensuring accuracy of medications provided to patients.
  • Assists in ensuring accurate indexing of all paperwork.
  • Other duties as assigned and modified at manager’s discretion.


  • Ability to communicate and work with doctors, patients and other team members in a professional manner.
  • Skill in training and assessing care promoter team members competencies in taking patients’ vital signs, obtaining blood and other samples for laboratory work.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and to ensure accuracy of reports and data.
  • Ability to manage multiple processes and lead teams of care promoters.
  • Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to implement and monitor patient safety and quality improvement initiatives
Additional Job Description


    • Graduate of an accredited school or college of nursing (BSN).
    • Registered Nursing (RN) required.
    • At least ten (10) years’ nursing/ medical experience.
    • Five (5) or more years in a in a leadership role required.
    • Preferred knowledge of immunizations, growth and development, cultural diversity, performance improvement and coding.
    • Thorough understanding of customer satisfaction and patient safety needs.
    • Good understanding of patient healthcare outcomes and patient safety data.
