About Emily Carey
After her type 1 diabetes diagnosis as a child, Emily Carey “felt the need to give back to the diabetic community.” She strives to help patients feel empowered and informed. “I find great satisfaction in being able to make a positive impact on the health and well-being of my patients,” she says. She appreciates the collaboration that goes into patient care. “Building strong relationships with patients requires a combination of trust, active listening, empathy, patient education, and follow-up,” she explains. She finds it rewarding to care for the senior population.
In her free time, Emily Carey enjoys going to museums and having game nights with friends and family. She also loves attending The Ohio State University sporting events.
