Poovizhi Selvi Velmurugan was drawn to healthcare after seeing the difference medical professionals make in people’s lives. “My favorite part of my profession is the love given back to me by my patients after caring for them. It gives me a sense of accomplishment,” she says. She Practices Siddha Medicine, which focuses predominantly on herbal medicine, food and lifestyle. She describes herself as a “people person” and lists “listening” as her main strength. She values the opportunity to care for seniors. “We nourish and flourish from the advice and wisdom of seniors,” she says.
In her free time, Poovizhi Selvi Velmurugan enjoys spending time with friends and family. She also likes to cook, garden, dance and involve in various community activities through multiple non-profit organizations.
