Anikia "Niki" Billington knew she wanted to be a nurse at just 8 years old. "Even though life threw curve balls, I am blessed to be living my dream," she says. After caring for patients across all stages of life, Niki has embraced senior care as the most fulfilling chapter of her career. "They are wise, witty, and for the most part, grateful for life. They always have a story to tell, and I am always ready to listen," she says. For Niki, caring for seniors is more than a career is an honor.
Niki builds strong patient relationships through active listening, transparency, and treating every individual with dignity and respect. She makes it a point to celebrate her patients' milestones — both big and small. Guided by the belief that she was chosen for this work, Niki approaches every encounter as an opportunity to help patients be the best version of themselves. "Each day a patient spends at home versus in a hospital creates an impact beyond measure," she says. Her personal motto says it all: "Give it your all or don't do it at all."
When not with patients, Niki enjoys dinners with her family, brunch with friends, and movie nights with her two grandchildren.
