About Dori Thompson
Dr. Dori Thompson’s interest in healthcare started at a young age. “I loved the idea of healing people,” she says. Her favorite part of her profession is building interpersonal relationships with patients. “I think building a relationship takes several things—time, interest, empathy, and trust. I want my patients to feel that I am listening, that I am not rushing them, that I am invested in what they are saying and will work with them to solve any problems,” Dr. Thompson explains. She wants patients to “feel like a part of their own care team.”
In her free time, Dr. Thompson can be found spending time with her family. She also loves college sports and is a huge fan of the University of Kentucky football and basketball.
