About Latha Cherath
From the time Dr. Latha Cherath was 8 years old, she wanted to take care of the sick and dying and provide care and comfort as only a physician could. So, after she finished her residency in Internal Medicine, becoming a hospitalist was a natural fit. “It was an honor to serve seniors during their hospital stays, but I missed the continuity of care” she says, and that was why she chose to join ChenMed. “I am dedicated to caring for seniors with the dignity and respect they deserve.”
Dr. Cherath especially enjoys listening to her patients’ stories and providing education to support their health. Dr. Cherath has traveled around the world and volunteered in refugee camps and in medical clinics serving the poor.
When she’s away from work, Dr. Cherath loves to spend time with her husband and children, listen to podcasts, read, write, go on long hikes, watch movies, and listen to music.
