Dr. Noureen Akbar has always loved caring for others and learning about the human body, so practicing medicine over the years has been rewarding for her. “I’m blessed to be able to form meaningful relationships with my senior patients,” says Dr. Akbar, who is board-certified in geriatric and family medicine. “I genuinely care about them and strive to improve their health and quality of life.”
When she’s not with patients, Dr. Akbar serves as a member and board member of the Florida Academy of Family Physicians. She also likes to keep up with medical research, spend quality time with her husband and kids, try new foods, read, draw, and travel. One day, she hopes to see the mountainous northern areas of her native country, Pakistan.
