About Yao-Chieh Cheng
Dr. Yao-Chieh Cheng “always advocates for quality of life.” He first became inspired to study medicine after witnessing his grandfather’s battle with cancer. “I wanted to help patients and their families navigate complex diseases and provide a safe space to discuss their concerns about their health,” he says. He likes having frequent visits with patients to “address each health concern in more detail.” He adds, “It is a privilege to earn their confidence and witness their bravery when they discuss challenges and concerns about their health.”
Dr. Cheng loves relaxing with his wife in his free time. He shares that he has spent time as a Peace Corps volunteer in Mozambique and worked on infectious disease research in Papua New Guinea.
